You Don’t Need an Audience to Build a Million-Dollar Product Business

Welcome back, product bosses! I poured everything I had into creating the product, building a website, and hoping customers would magically find me. (Spoiler: they didn’t—until I discovered the real strategy that changes everything.) I share the moment I realized that success wasn’t about building my own audience from scratch—it was about tapping into existing ones. That’s when I started showing up at in-person markets, pitching to retailers, and later getting my products onto Amazon. Each of these sales channels already had customers waiting—and I just had to show up.

I’ll also share stories from some of my students, including one who made $200,000 in her first year on Amazon—with only 24 Instagram followers. These examples prove that if you focus on being discoverable where people are already shopping, you can generate real results without burning out trying to grow a following.
